WildStar Devspeak on Movement

How do you make a video on basic movement in an MMO fun? Give it to the Wildstar team. This bodes well for the rest of the game.

There is a general feeling in the gaming community that Wildstar is a bit of an unknown. Are they actively seeking to not be pigeon holed? Are they witholding information to keep them from being pigeon holed? Maybe they actually have a unique game that appeals to a few key desires in MMO players? Frankly, until we see more we won’t really be able to answer all of those questions.

So, what do we know? We know that the Wildstar team has a pretty good sense of humor and this DevSpeak Movement videos shows it off. If they can embody a fun game, with a sense of humor, and some unique game play then I think they have an excellent position from which to kick off a game. The more I see, the more I want to see… and the Wildstar team should feel pretty good about that!
