Gears of War 4 Teased in Recent Twitter Updates

War... war has changed. War will have Gears, on Xbox One!
War... war has changed. War will have Gears, on Xbox One!

It seems everyone is busy doing motion capture work this spring, as Black Tusk has revealed they are wrapping up work on their new Gears of War title. They included two images, with the first one of course being the famous Lancer rifle in all its glory. Coletrain would approve.

Curiously, the rifle has a bayonet instead of a chainsaw. Is this just the only prop Lancer available, or are we looking at the gun making a return in Gears 4?

As you can see, the audio team is also hard at work getting all the grizzled machismo gunslinging just right. It takes a lot of work making DeMaggio sound more like Marcus Fenix and less like Bender, you know.

This also comes on the heels of the news that Games with Gold will be giving out Gears of War: Judgement to all subscribers. So if you want to give the game’s famous Overrun mode another few battles before Delta Squad makes their proper return, now is the best time to prep your hard drive or dig out your disc copy.
