The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine map size revealed...and it's huge
A recent interview with CD Projekt Red has shed some more light on the upcoming Witcher 3 content Blood and Wine, and all signs point to this being one beast of an expansion.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed the size of Toussant, stating it will be the size of the entire Skellige Isles combined. Considering that the entirety of the Skellige Isles comprised half of The Witcher's world, give or take, Toussant is sounding like a hefty landmass gamers will have a chance to explore. CD Projekt Red confirmed visual improvements they've made to The Witcher 3 as well, ranging from improved colors and character models to crisp foliage details -- expect Toussant to be a gorgeous experience.
In addition to Toussant's size, CD Projekt Red confirmed they are aiming for a June release just before E3, which supports the rumored release date leaked a few weeks ago. You can watch the full interview with CD Projekt Red on Gamestar's Facebook page.
Blood and Wine will deliver a "fascinating" story with "every sort of twist and turn you'd expect from our writers," community manager Marcin Momont teased the other day:
"Toussaint is unlike anything you've seen in Wild Hunt--carefree and colorful, but your gut never stops telling you that there's some real dark stuff happening underneath all that."
If the image above is any indication, there's going to be some truly sinister happenings in store for Geralt this June.
