What has Lionhead said about this extended time period?

The developers at Lionhead Studios don’t want to push out a new edition of Fable: The Lost Chapters without making it as amazing as it could be. The game must be remade in perfect condition, and they’re willing to take the time if they have to. In Lionhead’s post, they explained the circumstances and why they chose to take the actions they have.

“We’ve been working hard for the past year to bring you the very best Fable Anniversary experience on Xbox 360, we feel though, that we need a little more time in order to meet our ambitions and give you, the fans, the best game possible.

I know I speak for everyone at Lionhead when I say that we can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to, and it gives us great pleasure to let you know that you can expect Fable Anniversary to be both on-shelves and online via the Xbox Games Store in February 2014.”

We’ll be able to expect great things from this game, since Lionhead is taking extra time to make it as perfect as we would want to play it.

Why is the Anniversary Edition so cool?

Within the new edition is an entire remastered and remade version of Fable: The Lost Chapters. You can expect to have the same story line, except with a more fluid game.

A great bonus will be the new option to save anywhere you want, anytime you want in the game. Something that was lacking in Fable: The Lost Chapters, but will be regained in this new edition. It’s been nine years since the release of Lost Chapters, and now we’ll get to see it in HD with better graphics than ever before. The cut scenes will be revamped to give even more immersion into the game’s memorable story.

A comparison from old Fable, to Anniversary edition.

Don’t worry Fable fans, you’ll be getting plenty of screenshots during the waiting process. We’ll have a bit of a taste for the game in the meantime, which should heighten our appetite for it’s release.

So are you planning on getting it?
