Executing your enemies can be done whether you’re carrying a knife in your hand or not. However, you’ll need to be quiet and stealthy to pull it off.

How to Perform Execution Finishing Moves in Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Before you can perform an execution, you need to get behind your enemy and get as close as possible. Be as quiet as possible when sneaking up on them.

When you get very close, press the melee attack button, which is attached to the Right Thumbstick on consoles and the “E” key on PC by default. Hold the melee key until you finish the execution.

During the execution, the camera will pan out to a third-person perspective, showing you all the gory details.

Tips For Executing Your Enemies

It is often hard to approach an enemy from behind without getting caught in the act. So here are a few important tips on how to improve your execution skills.

  • Watch out for campers, as they are the best targets for executions
  • After you spot the right target, approach slowly using crouch
  • If an enemy manages to detect you, still try to make it work by circling them and getting on their backside
  • If your reaction is fast enough, you’ll get a split-second window to perform an execution

Like any other skill in Modern Warfare, this is one that requires a lot of practice. If you want to master this finishing move, do it as often as you can.
