How does one delete a draft?

posted by (Featured Columnist) 6 years ago

I realize based on a post about deleting posted articles that published pieces are hard to delete, but how about things in draft a writer has no intention of continuing? I have two drafts I have zero interest in pursuing further, but can't seem to get rid of them.

    Hi Elijah!

In the case of discarded drafts, there are presently two choices:

    1. You can open the draft, wipe the data and write a new piece there that will take the place of the old draft.

    2. You can leave them alone; by not interacting with them they will drop off your dashboard over time as more recent articles take their place.

As of now we don't have a hard delete for drafts. We found that people deleting them and wanting them again later was more problematic than writers deciding to overwrite the old material or just letting them hang out 'til they fell off their dashboard page one.

If you have time, our team would like to sit down and chat about how you're using GameSkinny, what you like and how we can improve things. Let me know if you are available!

Those actually makes a ton more sense than just deleting posts, thank you! I've never had so flexible a system for posting before.

Sure! I'm available most evenings (EST) for chat/calls on Skype, Steam, Facebook, and Google. If you guys had a specific time, or need my account name to add me on any of the above, please feel free to DM me it on Twitter I'd love to help out and give some feedback!
