The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D’s Tiny Download Won’t Keep Fans Waiting

No need to scramble for space on your SD card or console - the download size for The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D is surprisingly tiny.

Zelda fans who pre-order the digital download of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D will be excited to discover that they won’t be waiting all day to play it when it releases on February 13.

According to the official pre-order site, the download size of the game is a mere 661 MB. Previous popular Nintendo 3DS titles have had comparatively larger download sizes; Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS weighs in at 17,300 Blocks (2.1 GB), while Bravely Default by Square Enix dwarfed both titles with a download size of a whopping 26,498 Blocks (3.23 GB) – nearly five times that of the Majora’s Mask 3D download.

The small download size of the new Zelda title means that not only will players not have to wait to play it, but that the download will occupy less space; this could be the beginning of a trend to come in the release of future 3DS games.

So if you’ve pre-ordered Majora’s Mask 3D, rest easy – there’s no need to buy a new SD card just yet. Come February 13, you’ll be enjoying the game in no time at all.
