4 New War Games in Honor of Veterans' Day
Through the efforts of brave veterans of our past are we allowed such great freedoms today. This freedom even allows us to play war games that simulate what these brave soldiers experienced to give us the life we are living today. This is a list of four recently released war games to celebrate this history.
Battlefield 4
Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter game with both single player story mode and multi-player mode. The year is 2020 and tensions in the world are running high. Following the campaign of Sargent Daniel "Reck" Recker and his special ops squadron, codename Tombstone", as they battle their way through dealing with Russia following a six-year conflict.
Released by Electronic Arts in October, Battlefield 4 has several expansions planned, one of which, China Rising, is set to be released December 3rd. The rest will be released over 2014.

Call of Duty: Ghosts
Published by Activision, Call of Duty: Ghosts is the newest installment of the popular first-person shooter series, Call of Duty. Call of Duty is equipped with two modes, single and multi-player. A new feature added to Call of Duty: Ghosts is a realistic dog unit that has not been seen in prior games.
Call of Duty: Ghosts reveals the past of an elite unit coded Ghosts, led by retired U.S. Army Captain Elias Walker. With his sons at his side, he and Ghosts lead the fight against the Federation that seeks to destroy the US with an orbital weapon in space.

Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies
While not as big a title as Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts, Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies is a new release by well-known publisher Firaxis Games. Set in the time of World War II, players simulate flight battles over the Pacific Ocean regions. Players can relive the battles at Pearl Harbor and Midway. With both single-player story mode and hot-seat multiplayer, Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies is available on Steam for purchase.

Tank Operations: European Campaign
Tank Operations: European Campaign is a turn-based stategy game following the European battles of World War II. As a WWII Field Marshall, the game will follow the battles but react to the actions the player takes instead of actually history. The end result will depend on what the player does. Players can command sea, land, and air units during gameplay.
Tank Operations: European Campaign is only available as a PC digital download.
