Uniracers was and still is a great game. This game was published by Nintendo in 1994 for NTSC and was available only on SNES. It was also known as Unirally in the PAL region; that release wasn’t until 1995. This game was a fast paced, stunt-filled, and fun. The player would not drive or play as a person or any other animate object; they would race as a unicycle with no rider.
The players would choose from one of the starting four tours, eventually unlocking a total of eight. As they play through the races there would be different goals. These goals range from getting big scores using the variety of stunts to competing against the AI to reach the finish line first.

Players could compete against friends with another controller. The same style game modes were available for PvP that players would see in the single player tours. How could the game not be more fun with more than one player? Playing against your friend (with the ability to unplug his or her controller…) is great.
Sadly, this game in the PAL region had a lawsuit filed against it stopping any more copies from being pressed. This lawsuit was from Pixar feeling that they owned the rights to a digitized unicycle. Pixar did win the lawsuit and Unirally production was stopped making the game press count just over 300k copies.
Unirally or Uniracers is a great game and still holds up to the test of time. This is a great example of a game that shows players they do not need top-tier graphics or guns to have fun with a game. For those of you that have an SNES and have not played the game; head over to eBay and pick one up for a cheap price you will not be disappointed.
