Many people who have had the pleasure of playing EVE Online would be shocked at how amazing their community has become. A game that is nearly 10 years in age has really shown that it doesn’t take much more than a PC to make tight bonds. EVE Online might seem like a game that requires heavy loads of PC magic, but you can have the worst laptop and still be able to enjoy the game. This is a huge community booster by providing a game experience to all.
As many MMOs are played, it can be difficult to find your niche and discover a guild or group you would like to do quests with and accomplish goals. While playing EVE Online they have made it very easy to meet new people and form close ties. Featuring many different chat tabs, they’ve made things more organized and less chaotic. Using this technique they took a regular MMORPG that you can find anywhere on the internet, and gave it a community with people that keep coming back for more.
EVE Fanfest 2013
The EVE gaming community took it above and beyond with their own fanfest this past April 25th – 27th, celebrating a decade worth of gaming. This gave their passionate gamers a chance to meet and greet with one another, along with many events and presentations along the way. A very passionate crowd, spent their celebration going to concerts, symphonies and enjoying some time with their beloved developers.
