UK developer Team17, creators of recent releases The Escapists and Flockers, announced today that Worms World Party Remastered will be heading to PC on July 8th with enhanced sound effects, controller support, Steam Leaderboards and Achievements, and cloud saves.

Besides single-player, the 2001 turn-based strategy game will have online and local multiplayer game modes of up to six players, as well as over 20 co-op multiplayer missions.

Worms World Party Remastered, one of the last 2D games in the strategy series, will be available on Steam and GOG for £11/$15/€13 next month.

No word yet on whether the remaster will be coming to consoles, but those excited to try their hand at battling some worms can have a go at the only Worms title released for current-gen consoles so far, last year’s Worms Battlegrounds, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
