Did This Pop-Punk Band Just Make the Greatest Mario Song Ever?

"Mario, get your shit together bro!"

by 7 months ago

Sure, Mario's been around long enough to have lots of songs made about him and his friends, but those pale in comparison to this masterpiece. "Hey Mario" is an innocent and unassuming enough title, but you are not prepared for this awesome, epic song. This might be the next "What Does The Fox Say?"

Mario, let Princess Peach go. She's just not that into you, man.

"Hey Mario" is Patent Pending's latest hilarious pop-punk hit. Haven't heard of them before? I hadn't either, but now I'm hunting through their 12 year discography for other gems. Can anything match this mind-blowing, amazing ode to the plumber?

Patent Pending is an American pop punk band consisting of vocalist Joe Ragosta, drummer Anthony Mingoia, guitarist Marc Kantor, guitarist/vocalist Rob Felicetti, and bassist Corey DeVincenzo. The band is originally from Mount Sinai, New York. The band formed in 2001 and has played ever since with a reasonable fandom.

That was amazing. I am going to learn these words. And sing along. In my car with the windows down.

Aren't you sad I'm not driving down to New York and passing through your city on the way now? :P

Love the song, but it's not remotely "punk" :P

Oh, for sure. But the band is supposedly classified as pop-punk so that's what I rolled with. Don't worry, I reserve the "punk" label for proper punk like NOFX, Guttermouth, and Minor Threat.
