Sony PlayStation Experience Days; December 5 & 6

Sony has announced their PlayStation Experience 2015 days in December along with details involving Capcom Cup.

Today Sony announced that their highly anticipated community event, PlayStation Experience, is set to take place on December 5th and 6th in San Francisco. The two-day event will broadcast a bunch of PlayStation announcements along with hands-on experience with the upcoming 2015 and 2016 games for the attendees.

Ticket prices for the event

Sony has tried to make the event more affordable for everyone in 2015, so there will be an early bird special for those who book their tickets before September 20th, making the price $60 for a full two-day pass. If you miss the window of opportunity or the supplies runs out, the price after September 20th gets raised to $75 for the two-day pass, $45 for a pass on Saturday only, and $40 for a pass for Sunday only.

If you do plan on going to the event in December, the tickets are currently on sale now and Sony recommends that you register using your PlayStation Network ID.

Hotel Accommodations

Since the community event will take place in San Francisco and many people travel, Sony has arranged business deals with the surrounding hotels to give a discount on their nightly prices. There are three hotel options for this discount, and rooms are bound to fill up the closer we get to the event.

Special Capcom Cup on Sunday

A giant Street Fighter tournament is going to take place on the final day of the PlayStation Experience gathering, December 6th. Competing in the Capcom Cup will be 32 of the world’s best players, all seeking the title of “Street Fighter World Champion” and going for the giant prize pool that is $250,000. To attend the Capcom Cup you have to purchase either the full two-day pass or the Sunday pass to be eligible for the Capcom Cup VIP Package that comes with:

  • Front row seating at the Capcom Cup
  • Capcom goodie bag
  • Exclusive access to the Capcom Cup after party, that’s hosted by Twitch and Showdown.gg

The add-on for this VIP package is $75 on top of the normal access fees to the community event.

Is anyone planning on attending the event in December? I’d love to know what draws you into it.
