Unite LoL is a new and free app for the iOS that allows League of Legends players to meet and chat with other nearby players. An Android version of the app is currently in development.
The app creator describes it like this:
“It’s like Tinder or Grindr for League of Legends, but less of the Netflix and Chill and more solid team-building and friendships.”
The app primarily sorts other players by their location, finding the closest players first to match players in the same time zone. The app also lets users search up other players by their summoner name, rank, and preferred roles.
The League of Legends community is known for its trolls and toxic player base. Unite LoL was created to reduce negative experiences, and help players find more friends to play with. Playing with a person you know will allow for less toxicity and more communication and teamwork.
