Here are some of the most exciting things about Minecraft Dungeons that you may have missed.
Here are some of the most exciting things about Minecraft Dungeons that you may have missed.

Minecraft developer Mojang's upcoming Minecraft Dungeons will focus on the exploration elements of their flagship title and add new items, weapons, and gear to the game. There will be no mining or building involved, but there will be a story that players can unravel as they travel through various locations in solo or co-op mode, which supports up to four players.

The game already has an official release window of April 2020 and will be available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

There have been a couple of trailers and short gameplay videos available online, but you may have missed some of the juicy tidbit's we're about to get into even if you've already seen them all.

If you want to know more about your next favorite game, then keep on reading about 7 things you may not know about Minecraft Dungeons.

In-Game Currency

The game will have currency that can be used for purchasing items. You can find emeralds and other gems inside crates, which you can find all over the world and break them.

That is why it's so important to explore every single nook and cranny, because you never know what you will find inside. In this way Mojang will encourage players to explore the map as deliberately as possible.

In-game currency like gems will be the only real currency in Minecraft Dungeons and there will be no microtransactions.

Procedurally Generated World

The world map is procedurally generated, but not all of it. Reportedly, some aspects of the map will be static, such as story-related locations. But the rest of the world will have a unique quality to it every time you log in to play.

This means that players will be able to go back to the previous locations they've been before and find a completely different layout of the map with a totally different set of crates. This guarantees a high replayability level of the Minecraft Dungeons.

Reviving Characters

One of the best elements of playing the game in co-op mode is that players can revive each other after being killed by the mobs. Anyone who's played a game without the ability to revive in a stage knows just how frustrating it is.

If you play solo, you need to be constantly aware of your health pool and carry enough healing items to be able to survive in the harsh environments of Minecraft Dungeons. That's all right, though.

No Classes or Abilities

One of the most surprising aspects of this RPG game is a complete absence of any class system or ability distribution. This means that there are no items in the game that can be attached to only a specific class. If you've found an item that you want to equip, then you will be able to do so and get its benefits.

This universal approach is also applicable to enchantments, which you can distribute any way you want without any class restrictions. This will open up a lot of possibilities for a huge variety of builds that should definitely make a lot of fans of the game really happy.

Randomized Enchantments

Besides the absence of class restrictions you will encounter an element of RNG, particularly when it comes to items and enchantments.

For example, if you've found an item and open it in your character's window, you will notice that it has a random number of enchantments on it. Then, you can choose which attachments you want to keep.

However, every time you pick up a particular item don't expect it to have the same enchantments. Players will be incentivized to pick up every single item they find on the floor and check whether they like the random enchantments or not.

This will make the search for that one perfect combination of enchantments on an item so much more rewarding.

Enchanted Mobs

Time from time you will encounter enchanted mobs, which are an ARPG staple. You will notice them immediately, as they'll be using magic tricks against you. These mobs could be anything from a simple skeleton to a massive spider.

So it's recommended to kill the enchanted mobs first, since they deal the most amount of damage than the rest of the ordinary mobs that use physical damage.

If you manage to kill such a mob, it may drop an enchantment it was using against you.

Gates Between Locations

Lastly, when you're ready to enter another part of the world, you will see a large gate protecting the entrance into another section.

There has been no information whether these gates will be heavily protected or will there be any other exciting features, but these points of interest may play an important role in the story of the game, so keep an eye out for them.
