Or you know it could be for you too. I mean nobody is going to stop you.

Have you been looking for the next big thing to occupy your kid’s time? Trying to grow your own baby gamers? If you’re just about done with Wizard 101, Pirates 101, Anything 101 and would prefer another alternative, introducing LEGO Minifigures Online!

Start ’em Early!

LEGO Minifigures Online is a brand spankin’ new and uber kid friendly MMO developed by Funcom for PC. The game will also be available to play via downloadable client for browsers, but will also be released for iOS and android devices.

A tie in with the LEGO Minifigures release, LEGO Minifigures Online will allow players to explore a variety of LEGO worlds, such as Pirate World, Space World, and Medieval World. Along with other LEGO fans, you will be able to smash, play and collect over one hundred different minifigures, and discover each of their unique abilities.

You gather experience and level up your minifigures by fighting enemies, and can customize your minifigure’s play style by collecting special bricks and putting them together to upgrade abilities. Of course, what would a LEGO MMO be without the ability to smash and build things, so of course you’ll be able to interact with the environment and shape it to your advantage! Besides adventuring with your friends, you can participate in PVP battles and complete quests such as giving Zeus himself a hand in Mythology World.

Well Since You’re Offering…

Funcom is known for games such as The Secret World, Anarchy Online, and Age Of Conan: Unchained, so somehow I feel safe leaving the creation of LEGO World in their obviously capable hands. Heck, I’m even looking forward to playing the Chicken Suit Guy, but you know, to each his own. So anyone else kind of not minding the thought that your nine-year-old cousins/young kids are probably going to harass you to death to play this? Or is it still too early for LEGO to count these chickens before they hatch? (Anyone remember LEGO Universe? Yeah me neither.)

LEGO Minifigures Online is set to launch sometime in 2014, as a tie in with the future wave of LEGO Minifigures.
