Clear Your Calendars, There's a New PAX Event Happening In November

Can't get enough PAX? Well, a brand new event is coming this year.

With five different PAX-branded conventions happening throughout the year, it's hard to imagine that there would be any room for another Penny Arcade Expo. But this year, one more event is getting added -- PAX Unplugged

Set to kick off in Philadelphia, PA on November 17-19 of this year, PAX Unplugged is geared toward fans of tabletop, board, and card games. Attendees will be privy to reveals, tournaments, demos, panels, and all the other exciting stuff we've come to expect from PAX -- but only for games that are played in the real world.

According to Jerry Holkins, the co-founder of Penny Arcade, PAX Unplugged hopes to honor the resurgence of tabletop gaming and encourage fans to spend a little more time having fun face-to-face:

"With the rise of popularity of board games, we wanted to provide a dedicated space where fans can come together. We will continue to have tabletop games at every PAX, but Unplugged will focus on stepping away from the TV, monitor and phone to foster face-to-face multiplayer experiences."

This will be the sixth official PAX event, coming just two years after the addition of PAX South in San Antonio Texas. Fans who are interested in checking out this new tabletop convention can look forward to tickets going on sale this Spring.

For more information, you can check out the PAX Unplugged website or follow the official Twitter account for all the latest updates.
