Snag Competition-Worthy Pokemon in Sword and Shield Wild Area Event

Gear up for competitive battles with the latest Sword and Shield Wild Area event.

The Pokemon Sword and Shield Wild Area event has changed once again. Following the dragon event earlier this month, the Wild Area event is focusing on competition-worthy Pokemon.

As always, Serebii compiled a list of the Pokemon you’ll likely find. Heat Rotom and Drillbur feature among the stars this time. There’s also a higher chance of finding Togepi, and you may come across Dreepy and Larvitar too.

That’s very good news, since Dreepy is notoriously difficult to find and is also the only new Dragon Pokemon in the eighth generation.

Like with previous events, there’s a chance you’ll end up facing off against the evolved versions of these Pokemon at higher levels. The percentage chances Serebii lists are surprisingly equal to those for the pre-evolved forms, making this an excellent chance to grab some super-powerful ‘mon for competition, breeding, or just because.

Note that chances for finding any Pokemon with improved stats or elevated EVs is lower like always.

We’re still waiting on the Isle of Armor, part one of Sword and Shield‘s expansion pass, and more news about the latest legendary Pokemon Zarude. In the meantime, at least we have these regular Wild Event updates to look forward to. Just don’t forget to be considerate of others while you hunt for rare Pokemon.

The full list of Pokemon, stats, and percentage rates is over on Serebii. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Pokemon Sword and Shield news as it develops.
