The most recent GTA 5 Title update patch notes for version 1.66 have been released. The update primarily focuses on improving stability and security for GTA Online on all systems, though developer Rockstar also provided fixes for vehicle modification and overall performance on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Here’s a complete rundown of the GTA 5 1.66 Title update and patch notes.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from being able to modify the TM-02 Khanjali, RCV, and Chernobog in their facility

  • Fixed multiple crashes that occurred in GTA Online

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players being incorrectly notified that they need to complete the Prologue to access GTA Online
  • Fixed an issue that prevented some accounts from accessing GTA Online due to stats having been modified by a third party
  • Fixed multiple issues that resulted in some users being able to abuse text chat systems on PC.

In late January, Rockstar said on Twitter that it was working on such fixes after a GTA Online exploit was discovered on PC. 

Previously, a small update was released on February 1, 2023, for PC that also addressed security issues with GTA Online. The patch notes indicate those fixes were focused on “security of network sessions and player-to-player messaging” and “an issue that could result in a player’s GTA Online experience being modified by a third party …” That was also accompanied by stability and performance tweaks.
