Developer Teyon, responsible for the cult 2019 hit Terminator: Resistance, has unleashed a new trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City that confirms our worst fears: it has been delayed. Initially scheduled for June 2023, players will now need to wait until September 2023 to take to the streets of Detroit and clean up crime.

In the meantime, we have a new look at the game in a trailer that reveals some of the immersive sim qualities that this latest RoboCop outing will have.

Published by Nacon, RoboCop: Rogue City has been on fans’ minds since it was initially announced back in 2022. With original film star Peter Weller reprising his role as officer Murphy, this could be the true sequel to the original film that fans have always wanted.

Strangely, there is no mention of the previously announced Nintendo Switch port for the game. Looking at the new footage, it’s clear that Nintendo’s hybrid device wouldn’t be able to do these visuals justice, but that version of the game has seemingly been dropped.

At any rate, RoboCop: Rogue City will be hitting PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S this September.
