Splatoon 3 Side Order DLC Release Date Details

The Splatoon 3 Side Order DLC will launch sometime in Spring 2024. It will expand upon the game’s existing campaign but features a unique twist on the Inkopolis environment.

The new Side Order trailer depicts a colorless Inkopolis Square with a futuristic undertone. You’ll enter the Spire of Order and challenge numerous enemies in what appears to be a roguelite mini-game where you’ll ascend the Spire time and time again. During the direct, Nintendo stated that the DLC is intended to be enjoyed “over and over,” calling attention to its replayability.

The combat featured in the trailer shows damage counters when you splat enemies, adding a layer of curiosity to the game mode reveal. Additionally, each level of the Spire has its own difficulty setting and reward. As you complete each level, you’ll receive the floor’s reward and trait. The traits will offer boosts to various abilities like splash damage and run speed.

Those are the Side Order DLC release date details. It will introduce a Pearl robot, and you’ll meet a fellow Inkling named Acht, who hints at a mysterious narrative to uncover. Although the Side Order DLC won’t be released until Spring 2024, it’s included with the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass for $24.99, so you can enjoy Wave 1 of the pass and explore Inkopolis while you wait.
