Braid Anniversary Edition Release Date Pushed Back to May

It will be worth the wait!

The indie puzzle game Braid is making a significant comeback with its Anniversary Edition release. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait just a little bit longer as the developers push back the release another month into May. It’s not all bad news, though, because there will be even more content! Here are all the details.

Braid Anniversary Edition was originally set for an April 29 release, including a brief visual remake of the past game. However, after a bit of thought, the devs have decided to push it back a bit further. That’s all because they have even bigger and better plans to include.

The game now releases on May 14, 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Netflix. On May 15, it releases for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Even though we have to wait a bit longer to try out this game, it will be well worth it. Developer Jonathan Blow promises plenty of more changes coming, such as forty brand-new and alternate redesigns for levels.

In the Anniversary Edition, there will be one special level only accessible to Netflix users, fourteen commentary index levels, thirteen new puzzle levels, and updated graphics, sounds, and animations. You’ll also have the option to switch back and forth between old and new Braid to enjoy any style you like. Check out never-before-seen alternative art styles from the creators and listen to 15+ hours of commentary on the creation of the experience.

Even though we have to wait longer, the developers are planning so many more goodies to enjoy. If you’re going to hop in and play it another time through, you might as well have it at its very best, which is precisely what this new edition promises. The new release date will be here before we know it!
