Release Date for Batman: Arkham Knight Has Been Delayed (Again)

Batman: Arkham Knight's release date has been delayed... again.

The official Batman Arkham Twitter account announced the disappointing news this morning: Batman: Arkham Knight has been delayed… again. The game is set to be released on June 23rd (worldwide) instead of June 2nd, as was announced in September of last year.

This isn’t the first time that Rocksteady and Warner Bros. decide to delay the release date for this game. Batman: Arkham Knight was originally set to be released on October 14th, 2014.

The good thing about this new date is that the game finds itself in an uncrowded spot on the release calendar, so it is safe to say that, for now, Batman: Arkham Knight will be in the spotlight on its release date.

With this new date in play, the game could be presented during E3, happening on June 16th.

Gameplay video unveiled

As if to ask for forgiveness, a 7 minute-long gameplay video – “Officer Down” – has been released.

For the very first time in the franchise, it is possible to drive the beautiful, unique, wish-it-were-my-car Batmobile. What more to ask for the ultimate Batman experience?

This “episode” of Batman features Scarecrow as the big bad boss, threatening Gotham with fear-inducing gas which, obviously, provokes chaos all through the city. But he is not the only enemy Batman will have to face: Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn are also in the game, plotting to get rid of the Dark Knight forever.

Batman: Arkham Knight has received an “M for Mature” rating and will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
