Arc System Works Sets Their Sight on the PS4 for New Fighting Game Series

Arc System Works is already slaving away at a completely new fighting game series for the Playstation 4.

BlazBlue and Guilty Gear developer/publisher Arc System Works has announced in an interview with Dengeki Online, a popular Japanese gaming news site, that they are looking to the Playstation 4 as the platform for their newest fighting game series.

In the interview, Toshimichi Mori, the producer for BlazBlue, stated that its been a philosophy of Arc System Work’s to design a new series for each generation that comes out. For the Dreamcast, it was the beloved Guilty Gear. For the Playstation 3, it was BlazBlue.

What is coming up for the new Playstation 4 fighter? Currently nothing is known other than it will be a new series along the lines of BlazBlue and Guilty Gear.

As someone who was an avid player of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, I cannot wait to see what their next series will bring to the table. They have a pretty good record of releasing quality fighters.

All that being said, it is a surprise that they are already working on a new game when they haven’t even released BlazBlue: Chronophantasma for consoles yet. However, if any fighting game company is to be trusted with quality releases, it’s Arc System Works.
