Square Enix announced during their E3 conference that sometime in 2016 Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithfulness will be released in North America and Europe.
However, this installment of Star Ocean will be releasing in Japan this winter, 2015.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithfulness takes place between the second and third games in the main Star Ocean franchise. It is being developed by Tri-Ace and will be released on PS4. It had been previously stated that Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithfulness would also be available on the PS3, however, that was not mentioned at the E3 conference.
Gameplay
Based on the gameplay footage, Star Ocean will have feature a role-playing style typical of Japanese games, and will have real-time combat with a six-character-party.
Ambitiously, the gameplay is set to run at 60 frames-per-second with seamless transitions between cutscenes in order to make Star Ocean more cinematic.
The trailer features a number of different environments in which the characters battle, including beautifully rendered seascapes, forests, and deserts.
