Some PC owners are experiencing launch issues for Metal Gear Solid V

Metal Gear Solid V's PC launch has been less than stellar for some players.

Even though the master race of PC players have optimal machines to play any multi platform game, it always comes with a risk. Having a completely customizable platform leads to games allow the need for minimum component thresholds that show expecting PC players if their machine can actually run the game. For Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, these requirements are extensive.

While some would already consider playing a Metal Gear game on anything but a PlayStation a cardinal sin, it seems some PC players are regretting their decision for another reason. Windows 10 users have experienced crashes on launch as well as performance drops during the game. This is not necessarily the fault of the operating system, but the updated CPU drivers that the game requires that are not supported by older AMD CPUs.

Konami has responded to these crashes by saying they are currently working on a fix. As of now, they are still working and will be updating awaiting PC players as soon as a solution is found. If you are having these issues, keep tabs on the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Steam community hub, r/metalgearsolid, and GameSkinny for more information.
