The PC Requirements are not that bad.

XCOM 2 has finally released its minimum and recommended PC system requirements today on their Steam page. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like you will need a monster PC to run this game. Unlike newer games, the minimum requirements and recommended leaves a lot of wiggle room for gamers who don’t have the money to update. Here are the minimum requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 2.6 GHz or AMD Phenom 9950 Quad Core 2.6 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5770, 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 45 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX compatible sound card

Here are the recommended:

  • OS: Windows 7, 64-bit
  • Processor: 3GHz Quad Core
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: 2GB ATI Radeon HD 7970, 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 or better
  • Storage: 45 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX compatible sound card

The game is set to release exclusively to PC on February 5th 2016. It’s a turn-based strategy sci-fi game focused on a human rebellion against its new alien inhabitants. The aliens came to earth over 20 years ago and took over setting a new world order in place. They build cities promising a better future for humanity while concealing a sinister agenda. Players must fight to give control of their planet back to the human race and stop whatever the aliens have planned.
