Today, June 30, PlayStation VR headsets were made available for preorder at GameStop at 7 AM PT. However, the preorders sold out just minutes after they became available.
There was a limited amount of preorders, and now that they’ve sold out, there will not be any more units for sale until the device is officially released on October 13 of this year. If you missed out on your chance to preorder, you’ll have to wait until then to buy a device, but Sony also expects there to be shortages when the device is released.
The PlayStation VR headset’s price is $399.99. The PlayStation VR Launch Bundle is $499.99. The Launch Bundle will include the headset, a PlayStation Camera, two Move controllers, and a PlayStation VR Worlds game disc. The disc has a collection of five different VR games called The London Heist, Into The Deep (working title), VR Luge, Danger Ball, and Scavenger’s Odyssey. Although it may be difficult to get your hands on a PlayStation VR device, on the bright side, it looks like the VR has a promising future.
