Angry Birds Set for Wii Debut

Angry Birds will be moving their ever-exciting gig to the Wii and Wii U on Aug. 14.

Have you ever sat at home and really wondered, “Geez, I really wish I could play Angry Birds on my Wii’?”

Yeah, neither have I.

But now that unasked for dream will be fulfilled, as the Angry Birds Trilogy will join the Wii and Wii U on August 13.

The triple pack has already been released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 for $30, though the Wii price hasn’t been announced yet.

Honestly though, this move might make sense. Sure, it’s a little bit later in the game for the move to the Wii, but Nintendo’s console might actually be the best fit for the popular arcade game.

The controls seem to fit the Angry Bird playing style in a way that other consoles don’t quite.

The mobile version was already an insanely successful hit, so it wasn’t all that surprising when it had $1 million in sales for the Xbox 360, PS3 and 3DS. Now, with the addition of another console, Angry Birds and its fun-for-all-style draws attention to a whole new market.
