Ark: Survival Evolved now joins that list as the game’s two week Summer Bash 2019 officially kicks off today (for PC players, anyway). The event includes fireworks displays, new summer styles for your survivor bod, and even nifty Uncle Sam top hats.

It’s not just new cosmetics landing for the event, however, as dinos will breed at double the normal speed throughout the next 14 days. Survivors will also earn double XP and harvesting any resource additionally gets also gets a x2 boost.

The Ark developers issued this statement about the Summer Bash:

Get everything at a faster speed, that’s what the forefathers would have wanted! Gather seasonal candy that when eaten by tamed beasts, changes their skin colors randomly.

Deck out your party in stylin’ summer game cosmetics including new Sparkler Skin, Fireworks Flare Gun Skin, RPG Firework Rocket Skin, Summer Swimsuits for both male and female characters, a Tophat, and finish it all out with new Flex Emotes!

While currently up and running for PC, note that the Summer Bash event’s launch has been delayed on consoles and is expected to arrive tomorrow instead. Check out a trailer for the Summer Bash below.

For those who haven’t saddled up a dinosaur yet (or, more realistically, died horribly dozens of times at the hands of a Level 35 monstrosity guarding a water source dozens of times), you can grab Ark: Survival Evolved for 65% off as part of the Steam Summer Sale right now.

Both the Scorched Earth and Aberration DLC sets are also available at 65% off throughout the sale.

You can also follow the latest on Ark’s continuing development and get updates on server maintenance and the console Summer Bash launch via Twitter.
