Take Back Redfall gives you a taste of the game in this interactive adventure.

Bethesda is getting creative with Redfall‘s marketing as the developer has released an interactive game titled Take Back Redfall. The game takes you on an adventure through the eyes of Layla, one of the game’s four heroes, as you interact with recorded notes from the other three playable characters. Going through the scenarios gives a slight taste of gameplay in the world of Redfall.

The game is played on the Redfall website and features various choices in a choose-your-own-adventure style, with each choice leading you down a different path in the story. The end goal is to take out a vampire known as the Night Manager, who’s been terrorizing the neighborhood.

Each choice segment features Field Notes from one of the playable characters, giving new insight into the situation and the world of Redfall. For some scenes, your choice leads to a video showcasing how your decision would play out in the game and alongside various game mechanics, such as combat, Layla’s psychic abilities, in-game hazards, and other enemies you might face.

Playing through Take Back Redfall can take about 30 minutes, depending on how long you spend watching the footage and thinking over your choices. At the end, you’ll be entered to win a Redfall Series X controller if you share that you’ve completed Take Back Redfall.

Redfall will release on May 2, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
