ArcheAge English Site Goes Live

ArcheAge is rocking it in South Korea, and it looks like it may have an English release on the horizon.

ArcheAge is one of the most anticipated MMORPGs in Asia. The Korean beta saw record-breaking player numbers and it jumped into the top MMO charts in the country on its first day of release despite being a pay to play title.

So what makes ArcheAge so special?

  • Flexible classes
  • Creating and sailing a ship
  • Complex trading system
  • Gliders (flying mounts)
  • Judicial/Court system
  • Siege battles

The game is already proving to be in-depth in its Korean release, which is just in its infancy (it launched January 15). It’s foolish to get excited so soon, but it does look to be one of the more fresh MMO offerings of the past year.

The English site is the first step to it being published in the West. So far it has been confirmed to be released in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Announcements for the European, Russian, and North American releases are expected to be soon — especially now that the English site for the game is officially up.

If the quick decisions to release the game internationally are any indication, we may be in for a great game once ArcheAge is localized.
