Xbox One TV Programs?

Microsoft is developing TV programs made exclusively for the Xbox One users. How great will these programs be?

Microsoft has been looking into different types of TV programs that the Xbox One could be part of. They’re definitely hoping to tie in more than just gaming by adding not only TV programs, but also music.

What TV programs can we look forward to?

Microsoft has already released an announcement for a Halo spin-off program directed by Steven Spielberg, and much more is to also be expected. Microsoft doesn’t just want to tie in video games, but perhaps even do some original programs that aren’t involved in gaming. These attractions are most-likely only available on the Xbox One through a Xbox Live Gold account. Another great type of program they’re looking in to involves international sports, which is considered globally acceptable.

Vice President Phil Spencer spoke at the 2013 Tokyo Gameshow, stating:

“They have literally hundreds of ideas that they are incubating right now, we will have some new announcement for TV shows coming pretty soon.”

Microsoft and Sony are in a type of arms race, trying to get the best product out there the fastest, and only time will tell if Sony can keep up with what Microsoft is pushing out. We’ll be able to expect great things from Microsoft in the upcoming weeks as we get closer to the release of Xbox One on November 22nd.

What do you think about these programs? Will they make or break your Xbox One experience?
