The next update for Genshin Impact has finally been revealed. Following up on the festivities in Version 3.6, Version 3.7 will be very TCG-centric in its events and features many returning characters alongside a couple of new ones. It’s called “Duel! The Summoners’ Summit!” Here’s our Livestream recap.
Version 3.7 New Events
The flagship event revolves heavily around Genius Invokation TCG. More specifically, it’s about the King of Invokations Grand Prix, which will see many memorable characters return to take part. You’ll also run into a girl named Charlotte throughout and help her uncover a strange case she’s looking into.
It wouldn’t be a flagship event if it only focused on the story. Four new minigames will also be available all throughout Teyvat and will include a new 4-star Bow weapon called the Ibis Piercer. Here’s a breakdown of each minigame:
- A Tour of Wonders — Traversing obstacles and fighting enemies throughout different nations
- Zero Hour Invokation — TCG tournament that utilizes pre-set cards to make decks from
- Evermotion Mechanical Painting — Solving gear-based puzzles; an updated and returning minigame from Version 2.8
- Heart of the Dice — Combat trails featuring a random Elemental Dice mechanic that adds buffs.
When it comes to story quests, Yoimiya will be receiving a new act in her Carassius Auratus Chapter that sees her exploring Sumeru. A new hangout event centering around Kaveh will also be added.
Genius Invokation TCG: Radiant Secrets
Accompanying such a heavy TCG-focused update is new content for Genius Invokation TCG itself. In addition to new cards, there will also be two new modes with Arena of Champions and The Forge Realm’s Temper, which are PvP and PvE, respectively.
Version 3.7 Character Banners
One new playable character was shown off, who was previously announced last month. Kirara is a 4-star Dendro Sword user who will have a drop-rate boost during both banners in the first phase. As for the headlining 5-star characters, players will have the opportunity to catch up on reruns by wishing for Yoimiya and Yae Miko. The second phase will also feature returning 5-star characters, with Kaedehara Kazuha and Alhaitham headlining their respective banners.
Genshin Impact New Character: Charlotte
A focal character in the main event, Charlotte is a new NPC that hails from the region of Fontaine. She’s a journalist for a familiar newspaper called The Steambird and she’s in the area to cover the King of Invokations Grand Prix.
Charlotte seems to be strictly an NPC and it’s currently unknown whether she’ll become a playable character in the future or not. Given how important she is in the event, how over-designed she is compared to most NPCs, and that the 4.0 series of updates are set to take place in Fontaine, this could be a case where they’re introducing her early before becoming playable with the Fontaine region’s debut.
