Black Desert Online is getting a new area to explore in the Land of the Morning Light expansion launching June 14. Medieval Korean mythology will be at the forefront of this update, as well as the Woosa and Maegu Awakenings, Summer Season content, and a new mode. Here’s what we know about the Land of Morning Light expansion for Black Desert Online.
Before the expansion arrives, Woosa is getting her awakening May 31. Drawing strength from the flowers in the afterlife, she employs Maegu’s charms to control spirits. To not be outdone, Maegu will get her awakening in June. While the specific date hasn’t been confirmed, we do know that she’ll wield Woosa’s fan.
Once the Land of the Morning Light expansion shines upon us, you’ll be able to explore the new land and collect Light Orbs. These orbs will allow you to reduce damage dealt by the area’s new mythology-inspired bosses, as well as increase your damage dealt. Will you be able to take down the fearsome Imoogi?
Along with the new bosses comes the new mode, Black Desert Boss Blitz. Think the current bosses are too easy? You can customize the difficultly from 1-10 Calamity to face off against a boss that really challenges you. Compete to defeat them as fast as possible against other players to reach the top of the leaderboards.
Already in game is the new Summer Season content. Like the Spring Season, you can create a new seasonal character and complete seasonal challenges to earn the 8th Gen Female Horse. If you complete the Course awakening you’ll be able to get a Dream Horse.
Land of the Morning Light brings a ton of new content to the game, with more that is to be discovered. It’s currently available for pre-order as a bundle on Steam or stand alone expansion. You’ll be able to buy the expansion in game from the Pearl Shop, as well.
