Company of Heroes 3 offers you a number of cosmetic skins for units in all four factions. Each unit can be equipped with a different look to show off in your multiplayer and co-op games. Our guide will provide you with tips on how to unlock and equip skins in Company of Heroes 3.

How to Get Skins in Company of Heroes 3

The skins in Company of Heroes 3 can be unlocked in several ways, depending on the edition of your game, as well as how much money you can spend on them.

If you’ve pre-ordered the game, here are all the legendary skins that become available to you from the start:

  • US Rifleman Cosmetic.
  • US Scout Cosmetic.
  • M18 Hellcat Cosmetic.
  • M8 Greyhound Cosmetic.
  • Pioneer Profile & Title.

If you’ve purchased the digital Premium Edition, then you get all the skins listed above, as well as the skins listed below:

  • Premium US HQ Cosmetic.
  • Premium Victory Point Cosmetic.
  • Premium US M4 Sherman Cosmetic.

All other players who were not able to pre-order or purchase the Premium Edition of the game can buy skins at the in-game store for Merits, which is a free in-game currency. Merits can be earned by completing special game missions.

Lastly, you can also purchase the skins using War Bonds, which is the premium in-game currency. War Bonds can be only purchased for real-world money in Company of Heroes 3.

How to Equip Skins

Once you’ve purchased any of the Company of Heroes 3 skins, you can start equipping them on your faction units. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to the game’s main menu.
  2. Select “Loadout” option.
  3. Select one of the four available factions.
  4. Select any type of unit from the list.
  5. Highlight the skin you wish to equip in the window next to the unit list.
  6. Confirm by pressing “Equip” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Note that skins must be unlocked before equipping them. Also, unit skins do not appear in the first two main story campaigns but become visible in the following modes:

  • Skirmish mode.
  • Multiplayer mode.
  • Competitive mode.
  • Co-op versus AI mode.
