Octodad Sneaks Onto Xbox One & Wii U
Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be joining the growing list of indie titles for Xbox One. Already a smash hit among PC and PS4 players alike, the title is poised to latch onto Xbox One users with the same success.
After Octodad took off in 2012, the development team behind the title came together and formed Young Horses Inc. From there, they created a Kickstarter campaign and, after exceeding their goals, pushed out the sequel just 2 years later. Since then, Dadliest Catch has been an indie favorite, especially among YouTubers and the “let’s play” community.
Earlier this year, Young Horses tweeted out sales data and showed sizable sales and revenues.
It would seem that the next step for Young Horses is moving the game over Xbox One and continuing the title’s success. With favorable reviews and a fairly high game completion rate (as reported by Young Horses), it does seem like a great business move.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is expected to arrive on Xbox One and Wii U this summer.
