Square Enix Corporate Restructuring

Square Enix announces changes in management!

Square Enix had big news today about changes in management in some of their North American and European studios. The company made the changes in reaction to their last fiscal year spent where they were losing money. The company made layoffs in both North America and Europe as what Square Enix is calling “corporate restructuring.”

Square Enix announced all European and North American studios that they own will now be overseen by Darrell Gallagher, who will act as the company’s new Head of Studios. Darrell Gallagher has already held a similar title as Studio Head of Crystal Dynamics.

The studio behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Eidos Montreal, will now be operated by David Anfossi the former executive producer of the same studio.

It was also announced that Square Enix Montreal is to be “built into a centre of excellence for game development on smart devices” under the guidance of Patrick Naud.
