Those who preorder from Best Buy will receive the “Short Fuse” trial; those who preorder from Gamestop will receive two exclusive trials called “Last Legs” and “Heads, You Win.”  Players who preorder the game on the PlayStation Store will receive the “Double Trouble” trial, and those who preorder the game on the Microsoft Store will receive the “Brightsteel City” trial. The exact details of the differences between these trials are currently unknown.

Additionally, the deluxe edition of the game will include the “Days of Dolorum” season pass. The deluxe edition of Extinction will cost $69.99, while the standard edition will cost $59.99. Players who wish to purchase the season pass at a later date can purchase it for $14.99.

Extinction was first revealed at E3 2017, and a gameplay trailer was released in October 2017. In Extinction, players take on the role of Avii, the last remaining sentinel strong enough to save humanity from its demise at the hands of giant ogres known as the Ravenii.
