You’re stranded on a deserted island…

Indie developer Beam Team Games what you would do to survive if you were stranded on a deserted island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, in their procedurally generated survival game Stranded Deep

The point of the game is to simply survive by crafting items using resources you find exploring the island and the ocean surrounding it. Surviving might prove a little challenging due to the constantly changing weather and other unexpected dangers.

And the unexpected dangers are probably one of the most intriguing things about this survival game. According to the game’s official website, there are “infinite procedurally generated terrain and biomes–no two games are the same!” I am always a fan of games that have a lot of potential for replayability, so this game is definitely on my must-play list.

Also, for any fans of survival horror games, Stranded Deep involves horror, but in a more realistic scenario of surviving in harsh conditions with no one around to help: “Supernatural horrors are a thing of the past, experience what a true horror is like.”

Early Access for Stranded Deep starts in January 2015 on Steam for PC, Mac, Linux, and Oculus Rift.
