Final Fantasy XIV Introduces "The Rising" special event

A new event is coming to Final Fantasy XIV, called "The Rising" and featuring the theatrical stars of the Crystal Caravan. The event will feature new seasonal quests and special items to obtain. "The Rising" event starts on August 27 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) and ends on September 12th at 7:59 a.m. (PDT). 

According to the Lodestone web page detailing the event,

"The Crystal Caravan has come to Ul'dah, and plans to put on the performance of a lifetime. To ensure the actors can truly bring their roles to life, however, the troupe leader seeks those who can tell them more of the great heroes who will be portrayed on stage. Adventurers with a love for the theater and the arts are encouraged to seek them out." 

The map above shows the exact location of where the Crystal Caravan's leader will be located throughout the event. From the Caravan Leader, you can obtain the event's unique seasonal quests. 

Aside from the new quests that only occur during the event, a few new items will also be available as well: 

• Rising Pillar (outdoor furnishing)
• Rising Banner (wall mounting, decoration)
• Meteor Shower (Seasonal Miscellany)
• Heavensward Orchestrian Roll (this item is classified as 'unique' and untradeable) 

Two minions will also be available for purchase as well; Wind-Up Krile and Dress-Up Y'shtola.
