In the wake of the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, GameStop will have a special event starting in the month of October. Starting next month, Pokémon fans will be able to download both a special Gengar and the legendary Pokémon, Diancie.
The first event Pokémon in October will be a Gengar. Starting October 13th, players will be able to pick up a special, promotional card from GameStop. This card will have a code that will allow you to unlock a special shiny Gengar, which will come along with Gengarite Mega Stone that will allow the Pokémon to mega evolve in battle. The event will go through October 26th.
The second event begins immediately after the Gengar event. Starting October 27th, players can pick up another code card at GameStop. This card will contain a code for the legendary Pokémon Diancie. This event will last until November 16th.
This Diancie can then be transferred to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire on release. Players will be able to find the Diancite Mega Stone, and will be able to mega evolve Diancie.
Diancie was first discovered last year, alongside two other hidden legendaries. It was officially announced early this year, and starred in the movie Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction. This will be the first time that Diancie will be available to Western Pokémon fans.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire release November 21 on the 3DS and 2DS.
