Decisions, Decisions: The Power of Choice in The Wolf Among Us

The first episode of The Wolf Among Us is out. Get it now.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

The first episode of The Wolf Among Us was released today and it is every bit as engaging as I thought it would be. I expect no less from Telltale Games, but I might be even more engaged with this than I was with The Walking Dead. There are so many choices to make and after finishing the first episode, I just want to go back and see how it plays out in a different way.

Make the right choice

In The Wolf Among Us, you play as Bigby, formerly known as the Big Bad Wolf, as the Sheriff for Fabletown. This makes the decisions you make a little more interesting when you are investigating. Not only that, you have a time limit to make a decision, so choose quickly and wisely. This is sure to make players play episodes over and over, until they can see everything the game has to offer.

How good are your reflexes?

Quick time events are back as the method of action in this game. You’ll have to dodge in the direction shown with the left stick, mash buttons, and line up targets to complete them. This keep players on their toes and makes for even more decisions to be made because sometimes you can choose how you want the quick time events to go.

Sometimes silence is the best option.

If you loved The Walking Dead, then you will surely love this game. It has the same great storytelling, decision-making, and emotion that fans have grown to love. If you haven’t played it yet, get it now, it’s only five dollars.

What do you all think of the game so far? Just as good as The Walking Dead, better, or worse? I love to see your opinions in the comments.
