The highly anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s movie releases October 27, 2023. There has been plenty of build up and rumors since it was announced. When many people think of the FNAF series, they often think of Markiplier, who quickly spread the popularity of the horror series when it first released in 2014. His YouTube channel is synonymous with the IP at this point. This led many fans to speculate that he would be in the upcoming movie. So, is Markiplier in the FNAF movie?
Is Markiplier in the FNAF Movie?
Markiplier is often considered as one of the first big content creators to play FNAF and make it known to his millions of followers. The FNAF series quickly became one of the biggest video game IPs and has shown no sign of slowing down. This has led to many fans to speculate if Markiplier was going to make a cameo in the movie. This rumor spread even more when he seemed to hint that he would be in it.
Unfortunately, Markiplier has recently announced that he’ll not be appearing in the FNAF movie. In his Fazbear Nights livestream he stated:
“I want to say, straight up, without any qualification, I am not going to be in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie. I know that’s crushing, and I know that’s disappointing, and I know there’s a lot of people really hoping that would be the case, but I wanted to say unequivocally that unfortunately I’m not.”
Since he confirmed that he will be making an appearance, was there ever any truth to these rumors? Yes, there was! In the same stream he revealed more about what happened with his appearance in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie:
“It was supposed to happen. There was time that it was supposed to occur but unfortunately, and I saw this coming a mile away, the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie and my movie Iron Lung were being filmed at the exact same time. This was not anything other than it just so happened to be a conflict of schedule.”
