Who loves a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors? That’s right, we all do!

Here, with Ultimate Jan Ken Pon, the game of Rock, Paper, Scissors is re-imagined and certainly more strategic and advanced than ever before, as you seek to become the master Dojo. Ultimately an ‘easy to learn but hard to master’ style of game.

Ultimate Jan Ken Pon is a highly competitive turn based brawler game where a player plays against either a random opponent, or a friend. Set in a medieval Japanese universe, battles take place in the arena, bringing a grandiose sense of occasion to the battles.

Using a combination of wits, dexterity, reflex and rhythm, defeat the opponent by choosing ‘Rock’, ‘Paper’ or ‘Scissors’, then opting to ‘attack’ or ‘defend’. Games are played in 3 rounds, where the object of the game is to knock out your opponent. Keep playing the game to level up and hone skills and Jin’rais to master the honourable ancient art of Jan Ken Pon, only then can you become a true Dojo of the game.

There is a great narrative in the game too. The character develops as they level up, becoming an apprentice is rewarded with a spirit guardian. This guardian is here to teach them the ways of Jan Ken Pon, and then its up to the character to balance and re-establish the world after evil energy was released.

I like this game, it certainly makes a fun five minutes and certainly provides a comical tone. Along with a good, yet surprising, balance between luck and strategy.
