The year’s not over yet: My most anticipated games of 2015

A list of my most anticipated games for the later half of 2015.
A list of my most anticipated games for the later half of 2015.

With the year already half way over and as we head into the busy third quarter, there are still a few titles I am waiting for in anticipation. We’ve had hours of awesome gameplay and great stories with releases such as Witcher 3 and Batman:Arkham Knight, but in comparison to what’s coming this fall, that was all just a very satisfying appetizer.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn has been in and out of the public eye ever since it was originally announced, but with its official release slated for later this month on August 25th, we can all finally pop a copy into our eager PS4s. I’ve always been a massive fan of survival horror games and with a lack of great horror games in recent years, I’m excited to get my hands on what looks like an innovative title for the neglected genre.

Halo 5: Guardians

Back in 2012, 343 Industries released the critically acclaimed Halo 4 after having taken over the reigns from Bungie Studios. Having proven that they are more than capable of continuing the Halo franchise with stellar entries, the upcoming release for Halo 5: Guardians on October 27th has me counting down the days until I can once again step into the boots of everyone’s favorite spartan.

Fallout 4

When I first played Fallout 3, I didn’t know what to expect as it was my first Betheseda game. Before long, I was totally immersed in the Washington, D.C. wasteland filled with mutants and scavengers. Now, with the fourth game in the franchise coming out on November 10th, I’m more than ready to unlock the giant steel door to vault 111 and explore the ruins of Boston.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Finishing off 2015 with a bang, this is the game that I’m really gearing up to install on my Xbox One. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Tomb Raider games and when they announced that they were rebooting the franchise with a darker and grittier entry, I was ecstatic. I played Tomb Raider (2013) to the fullest, exploring every corner of the island and collecting everything. Now I can’t wait to do the same with Rise of the Tomb Raider later this year when it launches November 10th.
