With the repertoire of games coming out in 2014, many people are waiting anxiously for particular games. So what should you do while waiting for that game to come out? I’ll go over several things you can do.

Lore Seekers:

For many games, there is a story involved. If you’re interested in that story, you can search for any leaked or released details on the internet. For new games it usually takes a bit of digging to find good information, but if that’s what you’re in to then it’s definitely worth the effort. Sites like the FF Wiki are good places to look for Final Fantasy titles. Many well-known titles receive their own wiki pages well before the game comes out.

Replaying Games In The Series:

A few of this year’s anticipated games are sequels. For example; Halo, Lightning Returns FFXIII, and Kingdom Hearts 3 should all be out by the end of the year. Instead of constantly looking for new information on these games, going back and playing the previous titles is another way to go. This way, the story will remain fresh in your mind by the time the new games release.

Keep An Eye Out For Special Offers:

Games like WildStar and The Elder Scrolls Online have beta applications on their sites. Other games such as Titanfall and Destiny have special requirements for entering their pre-release testing. Make sure you keep an eye out for offers and deals on the games you want to play this year.

Everyone has their own way of preparing for new releases. Don’t let the anticipation eat away at you so much you forget to enjoy the games you already have though.
