Classic Mortal Kombat Characters Fight in Scorpion's Revenge Trailer

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpions Revenge sees the return of Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage and more in animated form.

Last week, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon revealed that a new Mortal Kombat animated film is coming. Today, the studio behind the movie debuted the first official trailer on IGN.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge is set to release in spring 2020, though it will not release in theaters. Available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital services, the movie features a classic lineup of characters. From what we know, the story seems to loosely follow the original live-action movie released in 1995.

Lord Raiden is once again gathering a coalition of fighters to battle Shang Tsung's evil Outlanders in a tournament to decide Earth's fate. Scorpion's Revenge will feature the following voice acting talents:

  • Artt Butler (Shang Tsung)
  • David B. Mitchell (Raiden)
  • Grey Griffin (Kitana)
  • Ike Amadi (Jax Briggs)
  • Jennifer Carpenter (Sonya Blade)
  • Joel McHale (Johnny Cage)
  • Jordan Rodrigues (Scorpion
  • Kevin Michael Richardson (Goro)
  • Robin Atkin Downes (Kano)
  • Steve Blum (Sub-Zero)

In other series news, a recent PEGI rating has revealed the previously canceled Mortal Kombat Kollection Online may be back in the works. The latest main game in the series, Mortal Kombat 11, is also due to receive new universe crossover DLC fighters in March. The roster has most recently seen the addition of DC villain, the Joker.
