Hulk Hogan won't feature in WWE 2K16 due to racist remarks

Due to racist remarks made in a sex tape about her daughter's boyfriend, Hulk Hogan won't be appearing in WWE 2K16.

2K Sports has confirmed that due to the recent racist remarks by ex-WWE legend Hulk Hogan, he will not appear in 2016's edition of the popular wrestling video game.

In the recent sex tape leaked by Gawker, Hogan allegedly made some racist comments regarding his daughter's boyfriend, including multiple uses of the n-word and admitting he is "racist, to a point".

In a statement sent to Polygon, 2K Sports said Hogan won't appear, as they stand by the decisions made by the WWE.

Hulk Hogan has been completely eradicated from any and all records by the WWE, including their Hall of Fame. The spokesperson for 2K Sports had this to say:

“We are highly respectful of the way that our partners choose to run their business and manage our partnerships accordingly."

In a statement by the WWE to the National Enquirer, they said this:

"WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide."

When asked if Hogan would be removed from previous 2K WWE games, they refused to comment. Hulk has issued an apology for his remarks, although there has been no response from WWE.

"WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide."

So, embrace and celebrate the Hulkster and his background. Everyone makes comments in private that they would not make in public. Everyone has feelings and beliefs that are not necessarily acceptable to everyone else. When at any time has Hulk Hogan publicly behaved in such a way to deserve to be ostracized like this? Obviously the answer is that he hasn't. It took an underhanded act of someone intentionally attempting to ruin his reputation for this to happen.

Why don't we stop these witch hunts bent on destroying otherwise successful individuals, and which ignore both the positive impact they've had and the negative intentions of those attempting to bring them to ruin?
