E3: New Ratchet and Clank Movie Trailer and PS4 Remake
Oh hey, lookie there. A movie trailer for Ratchet and Clank! It's about time. We have been eagerly awaiting news on this movie title, and finally we see some action besides a small teaser.
On top of a sweet movie trailer, it was also announced that the original Ratchet and Clank is getting an HD remake. Coming to PS4 of course. Both movie and game will be releasing in 2015. Not too much longer, everyone!
Game inspired movies have become increasingly popular in the past few years. Games like Assassins Creed, Metal Gear Solid, Sly Cooper, Mass Effect, and Warcraft are all slated to get their own movie adaptations in the upcoming years. In the past, a movie based on a video game has never scored more than a 50 on Metacritic. Let's hope the new Ratchet and Clank movie, or some of these other titles, will do better.

I'm actually really hopeful for this one. Ratchet & Clank has always worked great both on it's gameplay merits and story, and it looks like they are trying hard to transition both aspects into the movie. Hopefully it pans out. As for the HD Remake... ehh. The series has come a long way, although they have already announced new gameplay sequences, so maybe it'll turn out better than ever before. Still, I just honestly want to find out what happens after Into the Nexus.
